Websites - Get Online
Web Design from £1,000
Does this sound expensive? Read on to find out why...
We rarely take ourselves seriously at LandingNet, but we do take our websites seriously!
It’s fair to say, whether or not you intend to sell your products/services online, your customers will expect to find you on the internet.
This is the point where we need to be brutally honest - if you simply want an online presence, we are probably the wrong people to speak to.
We create websites with long-term goals in mind.
Why so expensive?
There’s no shortage of wannabe bedroom web designers - offering websites for £250 with free domains and hosting etc.
Their claims will be impressive, that their websites:
- Meet full W3C Compliance
- Are Search Engine "Friendly"
- Include free email accounts
- Can be edited easily with Content Management Systems
- Include detailed Website Analytics
…what more could you ask for?
The reason they can offer such a bargain is that by opening a “Reseller Hosting” account, anyone can have access to these services.
Reseller accounts allow any number of websites to be hosted for a fixed monthly or annual fee with .co.uk domain names available for only a few pounds each.
The hosting company will include:
- Free website building software
- Free standard email mailboxes
- Basic website statistics data
Granted, these entry-level options provide a route to market for small businesses who require an online presence, but they fail to represent businesses as professional and reputable to today’s increasingly techno-savvy customers.
With no ability for expansion or improvement, “quick-build” websites need to be deleted and built from the ground-up should you want to take your online business to the next level.
LandingNet will actually look at your business objectively and give you a realistic opinion as to its viability as an online business - we want to get it right for you from the start - that way, you love us and get to make oodles of money and hopefully we get a taste of the success too as you are happy to pay us for our work!
What does search engine friendly actually mean?
It could simply mean the website is built in HTML not Flash? It’s like saying your holiday in Barbados is “all inclusive, (except food and drink)”.
Read about how “search engine optimisation” works here.
All websites at LandingNet are built using the most efficient web design technology available. Cascading Style Sheets or CSS are used extensively in our websites. This ensures minimal coding (great for search engines) and ensures that amendments are easier to undertake (saving money on maintenance costs).
“We use Agile development techniques wherever possible”
- (what does that mean??)Larger organisations are often stifled from moving forward with projects because of too many processes and procedures. Where possible, we avoid such rigidity so that we can react to change much quicker.
